I like the direction you are going with this. It would be neat to add some images and text to the nodes so when you click on a node, it gives you more information on the author (so years active, publications, etc.). You could also link to their author bio page on your site (or another source if you’re not explicitly talking about them). Similar concept with the themes, you could either list links to specific works (such as on your site, or even to places like Project Gutenberg or other full-text examples). Excited to see someone working with networks!
