- How Feminist are Disney Movies?
Those are just a few of my thoughts! Maybe someone will turn one into a project.
Disney movies are plenty feminist, depending on the movie itself. For example, Frozen is NOT the feminist iconic movie that everyone praises it as, which bothers the hell out of me. The plot of most of the movies involve a goal of the princess and the man just kind of comes along and helps and becomes a bonus.
If you REALLY want a good feminist Disney movie… Look up Atlantis: The Lost Empire on Netflix. THAT is a great movie with incredible representation and beautiful animation. I can nerd out about it for ages.
